Benny Moon Scores a 1st & 5th in Virginia!

After qualifying 5th at the April Formula Dodge race at Virginia International Raceway (VIR), Skip Barber scholarship winner Benny Moon drove to an impressive victory. At the drop of the green flag Benny avoided a turn one tangle and dropped as far back as 7th. Ben began gaining positions one at a time eventualy taking the top spot from Marco Andretti with two laps to go. At the checkered flag Benny held off a charging Marco and Lorenzo Manderino for the win.

Sunday brought some interesting racing. Bennny agqain started 5th, this time in the first turn on the first lap he was in 3rd and by turn three he had taken second. A pack of seven including Benny began pulling away from the rest of the field. With numerous passes being made during each lap Benny eventualy ended up 5th.

This puts Bennny in 1st palce in points as they head to Road America!
